Executive Director - Randy Welk

​Randy Welk began serving as Executive Director of Camp Pinewood on September 1, 2022. Randy and his wife Lori have been supporters of the Idaho Regular Baptist Bible Camp Association since Camp Maratha and participated in the first week of camp the association held at Camp Pinewood. Over the years, Randy helped physically with camp building projects as well as provided leadership by serving on the camp executive board. In January of 2022, Randy retired from a 33-year career with the USDA to pursue full-time ministry. At the time he believed his ministry would be with Columbia Heights Baptist Church in Boise where he and Lori were serving. However, in the absence of a director at Camp Pinewood, Randy committed to attend every association camp in the 2022 season to provide board level leadership. God moved in Randy’s and Lori’s hearts during those many weeks at camp and by the end of summer it was clear God was calling them to ministry at Camp Pinewood. Randy is humbled he has been chosen to lead Camp Pinewood in “Glorifying God by partnering with churches to make Biblical disciples of Jesus Christ through the camp experience.” Randy and Lori have four adult children and two grandchildren. Assistant Executive Director - Kyle Maschek
Kyle joined the Camp Pinewood (CPW) staff as Assistant Executive Director in November of 2022. Kyle and his wife Bobbie have been attending and serving in various ministries at New Hope Baptist Church of Nampa, Idaho since 2010. Together with their 2 adult children they have always enjoyed life in the outdoors and the mountains of Idaho. They are overwhelmingly grateful for the opportunity to serve Christ by serving His church in the ministry at Camp Pinewood. ​OPERATIONS MANAGER - TYLER WELLS
Tyler Wells joined us in late April of 2022 as Camp Pinewood’s Operations Manager. He has been tasked with managing a variety of things in the camp office, especially using his Guest Services background to work with our rental groups and camp registration.  He brings a variety of camp experience from 5 different camps over the past 13 years, including 3 summers at Camp Pinewood in 2009, 2010, and 2016.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Student and Family Ministry from Corban University and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Clarks He is excited for an opportunity to give back to the ministry that had a deep impact on his life as a teenager. 
Tyler has attended Notus First Baptist Church and Columbia Heights Baptist Church during parts of his life, as well as being involved in a few other churches outside of the Association while he lived in Oregon, Michigan, and Washington. 
​He enjoys board games, disc golf, movies, and playing his bass guitar with the worship team.

DIRECTOR OF FOOD SERVICES - MIRIAM SPALL
​Miriam was trained in culinary school, worked as a cook for an assisted living facility and also in a bakery. After much prayer and preparation, her gifts are blessing Camp Pinewood. She loves the Lord, has a strong foundation from First Baptist Notus and attends McCall Baptist. In her spare time, she makes beautiful wood burned signs. Serving at Camp since Summer 2021

  PROGRAM MANAGER - NATHAN CUKURS
 Nathan Cukurs started at Camp in March of 2022 as the new Program Manager. He’s been working hard in the office and all around the property to help get things ready for summer. Nathan grew up going to Meridian First Baptist Church between 2000 and 2010, and attended Camp Pinewood as a camper while growing up in Idaho.  
Nathan served 6 years in the Navy as a Hospital Corpsman from 2015 to 2021. Then, he worked up at the camp as the Servant Staff Leader in the Summer of 2021; working with the volunteers, and also as a counselor for High School Camp and Foster Kids Camp. 
​He is very excited to serve with everyone who is involved in the ministry and to see God work through Camp Pinewood. ​

MAINTENANCE & SUPPORT - BART CARPENTER

Bart joined our staff for the summer of 2022 in order to help assist in all of the needs required to run camp for the summer. Bart is a native of McCall and grew up attending McCall Baptist Church. His first job was washing dishes at camp and has been involved in multiple camp pinewood positions since then. He has spent the last 12 years doing ministry in Michigan and has experience in the areas of carpentry, youth work, music ministry, cooking, and teaching in church. After serving for the summer, he has been led by the Lord to stay on at camp in a more permanent position and is looking forward to all the plans God has for the future ministry of Camp Pinewood.
