ANGEL TREE SCHOLARSHIP
  • Angel Tree is a ministry of Prison Fellowship. Campers with one or more of the following qualifications are eligible to receive an Angel Tree Scholarship:
    • The Angel Tree program is for children that meet one of the following criteria: 
      1. Angel Tree Child - A child who was signed up for the Angel Tree program by their incarcerated parent and has received a  qualifies for a full scholarship. This can continue even after the incarcerated parent is released.
      2. Angel Tree Household - A child who lives in the same household as a child who is in the Angel Tree program and is attending Camp Pinewood this year also qualifies for a full scholarship. 
      3. Non-AT Child: A child who is not signed up for the Angel Tree Christmas program, but has a currently incarcerated parent or step-parent, qualifies for a 50% scholarship from Angel Tree.  If the child had an incarcerated parent when they attended in the past, but that parent is now released, they can only continue getting the scholarship if that parent was in a Federal or State facility. Children with a parent released from a local/county facility are no longer eligible. 
      4. Non-AT Household: A child who lives in the same household a child who qualifies under the third option and is attending Camp Pinewood this year also qualifies for the same 50% scholarship. 

      In order to apply, you will need to provide the name of the incarcerated parent and the last known prison or facility that they were incarcerated, as well as the release date if they have  been released. ​
  • You pay $20 as a deposit that is then converted to a prepaid Canteen Store card when the child gets to camp. (no change given for the unused portion of this deposit)
  • One scholarship per child per summer, either for Day Camp or one of our Summer Youth Camps.
If you go to the "Register for Camp" page, under the Upcoming Events tab, you can use the general registration link to create an account and look for questions and options about Angel Tree. When you answer "yes" to the first Angel Tree question, it will unlock enrollment options that all have "Angel Tree" in the titles, then you will see the Angel Tree questions in another step. Make sure you only select one enrollment option and that it has the word "Angel Tree" in it.  Email us at [email protected] if you have questions or if something is not working properly. 
OTHER SCHOLARSHIPS
  •  Camp Pinewood raises funds every year to help kids and families offset the cost of camp. 
  • If you attend one of our association churches, please check with your church to see if there are any scholarships available through your church.  
  • If there are no scholarships available through your church, you may qualify for one of our general camp scholarships.  Fill out the form at the link below to apply for a general scholarship:

Provide a ​SCHOLARSHIP

Many of our campers need a little help to be able to go to camp.  For one child to come to camp, it costs $272 for Junior Camp,  $340 for Middle School and High School Camps and $300 for Adventure Camp. Any amount you feel led to give would be greatly appreciated!
